Child Abduction Contracting States Notice 2008

THE Minister of Justice, Legal and Parliamentary Affairs, in terms of subsection (1) of section 4 of the Child Abduction Act [Chapter 5:05], hereby makes the following notice—

                                                                      1.   Title

This notice may be cited as the Child Abduction (Contracting States) Notice, 2004

2. Contracting States and date on which Convention came into force

• For the purposes of the Act, the States specified in the first column of the Schedule shall be the Contracting States to the Convention on the Civil Aspects of International Child Abduction.
• The date specified in the second column of the Schedule opposite each Contracting State shall be the date of the coming into force of the Convention as between Zimbabwe and that Contracting State.

                                                                      3.   Repeals

The Child Abduction (Contracting States) Notice, 1996, published in Statutory Instrument 221 of 1999, is repealed.
